Three months long training and certificate program on development journalism kicked-off on Monday at Department of Journalism & Mass Communication (JMC) University of Peshawar. Training aims at imparting basic and credentials principals related development journalism to the participants.
Fifteen students after qualifying test and interview of the program were given opportunity in the certificate training.
Program Coordinator Naeem Gul while addressing the inaugural session of the training said most of the participants of the program were students belonging to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with aim to educate them about development journalism that according to him would help mainstreaming the troubled area equaling to other parts of the country.
Korea to donate sports therapy machine to UoP: The Pohang SM Hospital of South Korea will donate sports therapy machine and laboratory equipment needed for experiments to the Biotechnology, Pharmacy and Chemistry Department of University of Peshawar.
This was revealed by Director Pohang SM Hospital Korea Dr. Kim Jin Eui who along with four member delegation called on the Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz.
The Vice Chancellor Qibla Ayaz also thanked the Pohang Institute and Korean government for pledging support to University of Peshawar and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He added Korea is a very economical foreign higher education centre for University of Peshawar research students.
