Turkish Universities to hold Intl Pak-Turk Conference at UoP

Necmettin Erbakan and Selcuk University of the Republic of Turkey will hold International Pak-Turk Chemistry Conference at University of Peshawar next year.

This was decided in meeting of the visiting two member delegation of Turkish Professors led by Prof. Dr. Huseyin Kara in a meeting with the Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan on Monday. Dr. Erol of Selcuk University, Prof. Tufail Sherazi and Dr. Shahabuddin of Sindh University Jamshoro accompanied him. Najmuddin Erbakan is pronounced in Turkish language as Necmettin Erabakan.

Turkish Universities are ready to offer admission in the post doctoral program to the faculty and researchers of University of Peshawar, said Dr. Huseyin Kara on the occasion. He added Turkish Universities offer fully funded scholarships to talented students, and they should cash in the opportunity to get quality higher education second to none in the world. We are looking forward towards academic linkages with University of Peshawar and a formal MoU to this effect would be signed in the visit of Vice Chancellor of Najmuddin Erbakan University to Pakistan in the coming year.

We have sixteen thousand students in around forty five disciplines at UoP, and are looking forward for avenues to learn from each other’s experience, said Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan while briefing the delegation. He added that we want collaboration with Turkish Universities to build academia-industry linkages of businessmen and researchers of both the countries. The visiting delegation also visited Institute of Chemical Sciences, Centre of Biotechnology and the Pashto Cultural Museum.
