Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Dastagir said on Tuesday that the UK government would provide 203.5 million UK pound for reforming the education sector. The Chief Secretary said this during a presentation given to the special representative of UK government, Sir Michael Barber and his team.
The CS said that promotion of education was the top priority and better changes could be brought in the education sector by inducting competent and professionals in education sector.
He also instructed the Secretary Education KP to hold a meeting with the UK team for evolving a strategy on this project and prepare a roadmap for its implementation. He said that they were aware of the problems due to lack of proper education system.
The provincial government was determined to bring this project on ground and there would be no lethargy on their part.
