The University of Peshawar, Institute of Management Studies and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) have join hands for enhancement of accountancy and finance skills among the management students of varsity. The two would work together for the advancement of a career oriented finance profession in Pakistan as well. An agreement to this effect was signed by Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan and Head of ACCA Pakistan Sajeed Aslam in a formal ceremony held at the University of Peshawar. Under the accord the MBA and BBA graduates of the University would be exempted from 20% papers while pursuing their Chartered Accountancy Courses. Besides University of Peshawar graduates and alumni would be offered scholarship after admission in various programs of ACCA. Talking to the delegation after the ceremony the Vice Chancellor said that accountancy and finance is a booming field in the global market whiles the need for certified accountants are imminent to better financial management within Pakistan as well. He added for efficient output and management it is important to have know how of the financial system of the institute. The Vice Chancellor viewed that Pakistan youth have won many awards in accountancy and finance which reveals the fact that our students are second to none in the world.
