The advanced studies and research board of the University of Peshawar in its monthly meeting, Wednesday, decided to bring the course work and other requirements for the LLM course work and research proposal at par with the M. Phil degree programme. The meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan unanimously approved strict observance of 24 credit hours course work for LLM studies. They also directed that all the LLM research proposals should be routed through the Advanced Studies and Research Board for scrutiny before the scholars could start work on the same.
The ASRB in its meeting also approved 16 PhD and 23 M. Phil topics after they were presented before the august body by the concerned scholars, who were flanked by their respective supervisors for hands on guidance on the spot. Besides four PhD and the same number of M. Phil scholars were given extension to complete their research.
The meeting also acceded to the proposal of extension in completion of study period to the LLM students of the session 2007-08.
