VC visits Hakim Abdul Jalil Nadvi College

The top ten on merit students seeking admission at the Hakim Abdul Jalil Nadvi University College for Boys are to be exempted from payment of tuition fee. 

To go with this student of FA/ F. Sc getting position among top twenty in the first year Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar examination would be offered with a total fee waiver, as recognition of their efforts and hard work. This decided was taken on the occasion of Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan visit to college on Thursday. 

The Vice Chancellor also inaugurated spring plantation drive by planting a pine tree at the College Lawn on the day. He visited various sections within the college and instructed immediate necessary renovation work. 

The college building comprise of fourteen class rooms, five laboratories, a multipurpose hall and spacious lawn, said Principal of the College Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ishaq in his introductory presentation. 

He added the existing strength of college is around eight hundred and fifty, while plan for the next year is increase in allocation of seats by three hundred for the Pre Medical and Pre Engineering candidates. This will enhance our total enrollment strength to around twelve hundred. 

The College is giving due importance to the promotion of co and extracurricular activities, and we are in the process of establishing tutorial groups as well, he informed. 

Evaluation of subject teachers are to be done from amongst the concerned students of the college, said Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Muhamamd Rasul Jan. This is important for excellence in academics of the college in an efficient manner. The teachers with excellent performance would get enhanced salaries as compared to the rest, he added. 

Dr. Jan appreciated the performance of college in short span of time since its establishment in 2010. “I want the academic standards of the college non less than Islamia College Peshawar and will provide any support required to achieve the same”, he added. 

The Vice Chancellor announced the provision of extending University transport facility to the college students on the occasion. Registrar Dr. Syed Fazl- I- Hadi, faculty members and students were also present.
