The provincial government announced winter vacations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the provincial metropolis Peshawar, said an official notification issued on Friday.
It said that all public and private sector education institutions in the plains will remain closed from 25th December to 31st December 2012 and will reopen from 1st January 2013.
Similarly, education institutions in the mountainous areas will remain closed from 25th December 2012 to 28th February 2013 and will reopen on 1st March 2013.
