With 497 out of 550 marks in her BSc exam, Hifza Fatima Rehman from Jinnah College for Women scored the highest in the category.
The college has taken almost all top positions in the annual BA and BSc exams, the results of which were announced on Monday.
A ceremony was held at the university to celebrate the students’ achievements. Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan was the chief guest at the ceremony.
He announced scholarships for all high achievers to help them pursue higher education at University of Peshawar. The university is one of the greatest places of learning in this region and is committed to producing quality graduates, he said.
High achievers
The high scorers included Wajiha Riaz and Farhana, who each got 420 marks in their BA exams. Private student Abjina Riaz Khan and Ghuncha Shah Tawab of the college secured second position while the third position in the category was landed by Asma Qayyum of Army College for Women Education.
Aliya Masood of Frontier Education Foundation came second and Zainab Iqbal of Jinnah college came third in the BSc category.
Around 39,918 students appeared for the exams and 20,000 passed.
The results were announced by Controller of Examination Dr Rasheed Khan at UoP. The ceremony was attended by Registrar Dr Syed Fazli Hadi, deans of faculties, director admission and other staff members of the university.
