Awami National Party (ANP) provincial acting president Bashir Khan Matta Monday flayed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led provincial government for changing the name of the Bacha Khan Model School and College and asked the government to reverse the decision.

In a statement, he said the government should concentrate on improving standard of education instead of changing the names of the educational institutions. He alleged that the provincial government at the behest of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has changed the name of the school and college and inducted JI people in the board of governor.

He also alleged that the government was also planning to expel employees from various departments to induct own workers. The ANP leader said the province was facing turmoil and the government should avoid the moves that could lead to division among various segments of the society.
