Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, Khyber Pakhtun-khwa chapter, would organise a grand gathering in the provincial metropolis on May 31 in which dastarbandi of 5000 seminary students would also take place, a party leader said on Sunday. Provincial information secretary of JUI-F Abdul Jalil Jan told reporters that the executive council at a meeting, chaired by Maulana AtaurRehman, formed various committees to make arrangements for the grand gathering. The meeting was attended by Maulana Mohammad Qasim, Maulana Fazl Ali, Sahibzada Khalid Jan, Maulana Amanat Shah, Noorul Islam, Maulana Aziz Ahmad, Mufti Abdul Shakoor and Qazi Ayaz. The JUI-F leaders also condemned the killing of Malik Qadir Khan, chief of North Waziristan, and Maulana Mohammad Fazil, local leader of JUI-F in Bajaur Agency, and termed it a big blow to the peace process in tribal areas. Seven committees were formed for the grand religious gathering wherein the dastarbandi of over 5000 students from across the country would take place.
