The private school teachers were charged for being involved in polio vaccination campaign administering polio drops to the children in Sepah tribe area of Bara sub division of Khyber Agency here on Saturday. The Hira Model Private School teachers were shifted to an unknown destination in Bara, sources said.
The Bara based political administration has reportedly informed the media that three to four teachers of a local private school were kidnapped not more than that. However, independent sources from Bara said that eleven schoolteachers were abducted from the school compound when they had administered the polio drops to the school children under the age of five.
By the time, the security guards had left the area as polio drops had been already administered to the children, a local source said, adding that it is very risky in the terror hit tribal zones to feed polio drops to the children to control this menace of polio in FATA regions amid the categorical statements and warning by the militants.
The polio teams have been targeted even in the down districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the last few months, which is a clear manifestation that militants were resolute to target polio workers both in KPK and FATA, a local media person observed.
Meanwhile, the security forces and Torkham administration kept the Pak Afghan border closed on both sides. The border remained sealed from dawn to dusk amid the ongoing Sit In by both PTI and JI in the outskirts of Peshawar here on Saturday, which was arranged to stop NATO supply.

The administration sources while commenting on the border closure said that the Torkham border remained sealed due to PTI and JI joint sit in in Peshawar against the NATO supply and Drone strikes.
Due to security reasons the Torkham border was closed tehsildar Torkham Meraj Khan opined, saying after the second order from the high ups, the border would be reopened for the people and traffic. He also said a Grand Afghan Jirga (Loya Jirga ) was in progress in Afghanistan, which might be one of the reasons of the border closure to ensure security on the border, saying two days back a suicide bomber had hit the Torkham custom compound, which had wounded 26 persons.
