All Fata Teachers Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa demanded the government to take solid steps to ensure promotion of Fata teachers.
Addressing a news conference here at the Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday, Fata Teachers Association President Haji Khan Malik Mehsud said that a number of meetings of the authorities concerned in education department of Fata were held to materialise the steps to promote teachers of Fata but that proved a futile exercise. He said that the teaching community serving in the settled areas got their promotions twice but those serving in the tribal region were deprived of it, which is quite injustice.
Flanked by the General Secretary of the Association Amanullah Afridi, Sher Wali, Qari Gul Saeed and Naseer Shah, he expressed displeasure over the delay in the promotion of Fata teachers. He recalled a meeting of additional chief secretary was held in July last, but to no avail.
