Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah has said that educated society is the foundation for a democratic system and the goal of progress in social, political and economic sectors will remain vague unless education sector is given top priority. He said that education is the top priority of our government and we are fully committed to support and encourage the talented students of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was addressing the laptop distribution ceremony among talented and position holder students of FATA on merit of different Federal and Provincial colleges and schools here at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Saturday. Additional Chief Secretary FATA, Arbab Muhammad Arif, Principal Secretary to Governor, Dr. Fakhre Alam, Secretary Social sector FATA, Cap. (R) Sardar Safdar, Secretary Education FATA and a large number of students also attended the ceremony. He said that the students are the cream of nation and they should strive their best for promoting positive changes in the society. He said if appropriate path was given to the young generation, our youth could bring the country to the forefront of developed countries within a short span of time.
He said and urged the students of FATA, who got admissions in various education institutions of Pakistan to concentrate on their education, adding that students were the asset of the country. He said that they should get knowledge in a way that enabled them to serve the country in future. He assured that all possible and modern education facilities would be provided to the talented students of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well.
The Governor congratulated talented students for getting laptops on merit due to hard work. He said that besides hard work of the students for getting laptops on merit, the role of teachers and parents is equally important for providing resources and education to their children. He said that all possible and modern education facilities would be provided to the talented students of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He assured that Government will fully support and encourage the talented students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA.
