PESHAWAR, 4 November: The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan gave away degrees and gold medals to graduate students in University of Peshawar (UoP) convocation held here on Tuesday.
A total of 494 graduates of session 2012-2013 were registered for the convocation who were given degrees by governor KP, who was chief guest on the occasion.
Besides, 19 female and 16 male students were awarded gold medals for securing top positions in their respective disciplines.
While talking to TNN some of the gold medal recipients expressed happiness over their achievements and vowed to continue hard working in future.
“I have received gold medal today because of my extreme hard work that i put in my study. I will continue my education to get a PhD degree in my discipline” said a female graduate.
A male recipient of gold medal said” Every individual wants to achieve something big in life, I feel proud and privileged today that i have received a gold medal from the vice chancellor of University of Peshawar”.
