The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engnr. Shaukatullah has said, the youth are our future and we have to make collective efforts not only to educate and train them but also work actively for proper and efficient utilization of our resources in our individual and collective capacities.
In FATA, he added, we are confronted with difficulties of multiple natures which also demand joint efforts to overcome them. He was addressing jirgas of tribal elders hailing from different FATA agencies which called on him at Governor’s House here Saturday.
The elders of Masozai, Alisherzai, Khoidadkhel and Mondan Manatwal tribes from Kurram Agency were led by MNA Haji Munir Khan Orakzai while a jirga from Bajaur Agency were led by former senator, Haji Abdul Rehman Khan. A delegation of Ulema from Kurram Agency and elders of Khyber, Momand, and South Waziristan agencies also called on the Governor.
The Governor also declared to take immediate measures for establishment of a quality hospital in central Kurram and a passport office at Sadda of Kurram agency.
Similarly, he added, construction of a bridge over Swat River at Tarnao Vally to provide additional road link to the people of Momand and Bajaur agencies via district Charsadda has approved which on implementation would reduce distance between the provincial capital and the respective areas.
Talking to the delegation, the Governor also realized the elders that their active support and cooperation for ensuring maintenance of law and order besides efficient implementation on developmental activities is also equally important.
Referring to various demands, the Governor asked the concerned authorities to provide him complete details about the dispensation of compensation amount to affected people; complaints regarding delay in implementation on developmental activities in certain areas and successes accrued through implementation on Murree Accord with regard to repatriation of affected people of Kurram agency in particular up-till now.
He also appreciated the spirit of the tribal elders towards strengthening, normalcy and maintenance of peace in the area.
He said that efforts are underway to ensure efficient implementation on developmental projects and proper utilization of resources.Meanwhile, Haji Munir Khan Orakzai, ex-Senator Haji Abdul Rehman, beside other tribal elders, including Maulana Shamasul Haq, Haji Khaiwan Khan, Haji Hairan Khan, and Haji Khan Gul while expressing their good wishes on behalf their respective delegation to the governor also highlighted the difficulties which the people of the area have been facing. They also requested the Governor to help their in resolution of their grievances.
