Education Department of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa on Friday directed all government colleges and constituent colleges of public sector universities of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa not to display merit list for the students seeking admission in 1st year FA and FSc.

The colleges’ administration were also directed for not rejecting admission forms of students not having domiciles but applicants having Child Registration Certificates should be considered while preparing merit list.

It is worth mentioning that numbers of students were deprived of admission in the colleges due to deficient of domiciles therefore this move was challenged in Peshawar High Court.

In the writ petition 1722/2013 titled Muhammad Isa Khan VS Government of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa through Secretary Home & Tribal Affairs and others, the court yesterday in its decision directed all government colleges and constituent colleges of public sector universities for not making the merit list public till the further orders of Peshawar High Court which would be passed on July 9th.
