The graduates of Shaikh Zyed Islamic Centre demanded the government and authorities concerned of Higher Education Commission (HEC) take notice of the discriminatory attitude of the administration of University of Peshawar with them and save their future.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday here at the Peshawar Press Club, a group of SZIC graduates, including Muhammad Owais Khalil, Muhammad Naeem, Hadia Batool, Muhammad Munib and Faizullah informed that they got a three-year BA Honour degree from Shaikh Zyed Islamic Centre but now the Director Islamic Studies UoP was reluctant to give them admission. We come on the merit criteria given by the Islamic Studies Department but despite that the authorities concerned refused to give us admission in the final year of Islamic studies, they added.
They said that according to the university rules and regulations, the graduates of SZIC have the right to get admission in the MA final year of Islamic Studies, UoP. The students alleged that the director Islamic Studies has differences with the Director SZIC due to which their students were being suffered.
