Governor Barrister Masood Kausar while appreciating the performance of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) at Sheringal, a highly scenic spot of Dir Upper District, said that despite many hardships, the varsity was making great progress.
Presiding over the 3rd meeting of the senate of the university at Governor House on Tuesday, the Governor who is also its chancellor further stressed that continued efforts were required to maintain the tempo of achievements too.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Provincial Secretary Higher Education Mrs. Farah Hamed Khan, Secretary to Governor Abid Majeed, special secretaries of the provincial Establishment and Finance departments Abdul Laltif and Masood Ahmad respectively. It was also attended by Vice Chancellor Agriculture University Khan Bahadar Marwat while Vice Chancellor SBB University Prof: Dr. Jehandar Shah briefed the senate on the agenda of the meeting.
The senate approved the budget estimates for the years 2012-13 and actual budgetary expenditures for the same.
The senate approved the retirement of it’s certain worthy members who included, Prof. Altaf, Abdul Rauf Khan and Major Sahibzada Muhammad Khalid, apart from dealing with usual administrative matters.
