The Chief Executive of Fata Development Authority Fida Muhammad Wazir here on Thursday awarded certificates to 324 students of 14th batch of Khyber Institute of Technical Education (KITE) Peshawar upon successful completion of their education, vocational and technical courses.
These students are belonged to Fata and Frontier Regions, who successfully completed their six months training at KITE, a premier institute established by Pakistan Army in collaboration with Fata Development Authority (FDA) to provide quality education, technical and vocational training facilities to youth of Fata and Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
Addressing the 14th annual certificate distribution ceremony of the Khyber Institute of Technical Education (KITE) held under the aegis of 11 Corps of Pakistan Army and Fata Development Authority (FDA) at Garrison Complex, Peshawar Cantt, the FDA Chief Executive, Fida Muhammad Wazir congratulated the passed out students and urged them to utilize their skills for the well being of people and prosperity of the country.
He said the students passed out from this premier institution were playing key role in development of the country inside and abroad.
Wazir said the Government was making revolutionary measures for promotion of quality education and vocational training in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) as it was the only way forward to bolster peace efforts and make the country developed.
He said the Government was giving top priority to equip tribal students with ornament of education which was vital to improve their socio-economic conditions and bring them into mainstream of the society. The FDA chief executive said KITE was playing a vital role by involving the youth in constructive activities . Wazir commended the education services being rendered by KITE to the under privileged youth of the society, particularly from tribal areas, to lead them to the mainstream of the society. He also appreciated the performance of teaching staff and management of the institute.
The function was attended by students, parents, officials and elites of the City in large number. Chairman KITE, Brigadier Abdul Naeem Bhattai appraised the participants about the objectives, achievements, educational courses and future plans.
The KITE has been running different courses that include basic computer operator, office automation, basic survey, auto-electrician, auto-mechanic, refrigerator/AC repair, basic electrician, X-ray operator, Lab assistant and mobile telephone repair courses etc.
Chairman KITE, Brigadier Abdul Naeem Bhattai in his welcome address said these students were imparted education and vocational training in different technical courses to make them useful citizens of the society.
He said the passed out students of this premier institute are taking full advantage of their technical skills and education inside and abroad besides contributing for economy of the country. He also threw light on the objectives and achievements of KITE.
KITE is offering education facilities at 11 different courses includes Computer Orientation Course, Office Managements Course, Auto Mechanical and Auto Electrician Course, Refrigerator, AC Repair Course and Medical Laboratory Assistant Course and two more courses including carpet weaving and solar penal course would also offered from next year that would raise its number to 13 and students strength would jack up to 550.
