Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakthunkhwa Atif Khan has said the provincial government is committed to bringing revolutionary changes in education sector and to make it free from politics.

Addressing a national teachers’ conference at Islamabad, he said that the KP government is arranging professional trainings for teachers so that they could deliver professionally.

He said there is no space for politics in education and teachers should have to remain aloof from it because they have great responsibility on their shoulders.

He said there are as many as 4 million children studying at government schools only and their future is in the hands of teachers’ community.

The Minister assured full cooperation for resolution of teachers’ problems and asked them to teach the student with due sincerity and honesty.

Atif Khan lauded the role of Alif Aleena, a non-governmental organisation for organising a national conference for the teachers.

He suggested that such conferences should also be organised for politicians so that they could understand the importance of education and play important role for promotion of education.

Large number of teachers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended the moot and appreciated its conduct.
