Students of a private medical college have appealed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shaukatullah to get their college affiliated with Khyber Medical University (KMU) to receive recognised degrees before tension mars their studies.
We appeal to you to look into our plea passionately and get the affiliation done sooner than later,” the students urged the chief minister while talking to Daily Times.
Hafeezullah Khan, who just completed 3rd year of his study in physiotherapy, said management of Hafeez Medical College had requested the affiliation with KMU to earn recognition in 2009.
Since then the affiliation issue is pending with the KMU and this delay has put the students under great deal of stress as future with unrecognised degrees does not look promising,” Hafeezullah told Daily Times.
Speaking on behalf of other students, Hafeezullah said all the students were gripped by tension due to KMU’s long silence. “It has neither granted recognition nor rejected the request for affiliation,” the student quoting the college management said.
We also appeal to the Higher Education Commission’s high-ups to save our future by influencing the KMU to grant recognition,” Hafeezullah went on to add.
