Lahore Grammar School (LGS), Peshawar campus had its Annual Parents Day in Nishtar Hall.
An impressive ceremony was held in Nishtar Hall to graduate its pre-school students and annual parents day. The theme of the event was based on “Great Ancient Civilizations”. Civilizations, depicted in the show were Greece, Roma, Egyptian, Indus and Chinese. The jam packed Hall with over 700 people was full of applause for these students. Props, set designs and costumes were no less than any Hollywood presentation. The Greek dance on the tune of Zorba stole the show and was asked to repeat the performance. Second segment was the Play “Wizard of Oz”by Middle school students. The audience couldn’t resist the charm of Dorothy, Toto and last but not the least was the wizard and gave them a big applauds.
The last segment was the mime, very apt to the city’s current situation. Based on anti terrorism the mime performed by Matric students was superb.
Pre School students presented Walt Disney characters and later on they were awarded graduation certificates by Mrs Shehla Saquib.
Earlier in her welcome note, Principal Mrs Tehmina Khalid highlighted the achievements of the schools and extended her gratitude to the parents who had come in large number to attend this function.
Later on, Mrs. Shehla Saquib highlighted the plans for the improvement in school’s curricular and extracurricular activities keeping in view the vision of their director Neelam Hussain. The program me was well compared by the young students of O level.
