Naat, Qirat competitions held to celebrate Eid Milad

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Sports and Culture Forum organized Qirat and Naat Khawani competitions to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) here at Lala Rafique Sports Arena with boys and girls from various schools all across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took part.

Students from various schools all across the province like Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Mardan, Swabi, Swat, Buner, and Peshawar took part in the Naat and Qirat competitions organized by PTI Sports and Culture Forum, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The boys and girls of Junior and Senior Sections of International Qirat and Naat School, Gulbahar also participated in the Qirat and Naat Khawani with their melodious voices. The colourful ceremony held to celebrate the birth anniversary (Eid Milad-un-Nabi) of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with religious zeal and fervour on Rabi-ul- Awwal 12, (Tuesday).

People including women and children turned up for the ceremony in great numbers and holding banners, badges, stickers and flags inscribed with the slogans paying respect and reverence to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The aim and objective of holding Naat and Qirat competition is to involve students and youngsters to guide them about the significance of this day besides Seerat Conference held on the occasion to highlight the life and achievements of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The children through their Qirat and Naat and speeches paid tribute to Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings besides highlighting stories and incidents from his life, such as forgiveness, kindheartedness, bravery, wisdom, honesty, and peace lovingness.

In the Qirat competition Qianat Ali won first prize, followed by Saeed Riazat Shah of Mardan, who presented Naat in Pashto got first prize in Naat and Hafiza Hina Riaz of Nowshera Girls School City was declared best Naat Khawan.

The children of Junior and Senior Batches of International Naat and Qirat School Gul Bahar, their chief instructor Sarman Ghaznavi also enthralled the sitting audience with their melodious voices. Hafiz Zia-ur-Rehman of Kohat got second prize in Qirat while Zainab Raj got second prize in Naat.

The other position holders are Shamna Fazlur Rehman, Sana Ali, Faisal Khan, Rani Shafique, Shamina Shafique, Wais Khan, Muhammad Shehzad, Noor Qadri, Hashim Khan, Laiba Bilal, Sundas, Muskan, Jalal Khan, Mahnoor and Fawad Khan.

At the end, the chief guest Engr Saeed Mehmood, Vice President Saima Umar of Youth Assembly, Shazia Naz, Mujahida of PTI, Mehmoona Khan gave away trophies, cash prizes to the position holders.

Engr. Saeed Mehmood announced to hold the event on regular basis so that to aware the younger generation about the teaching of Holy Prophet’s (PBUH). Later on a dua was held.
