Peshawar University to observe Independence Day fervor

Arrangement to celebrate 66th Independence Day in national colors was finalized in meeting held at University of Peshawar on Monday.

The Vice Chancellor would personally look after the events to be arranged separately at Convocation Hall UoP, Baragali summer campus and Pakistan Studies Department University of Peshawar.

The day would start from Khatmul Quran at all the mosques in University of Peshawar which would be followed by a Flag Hoisting ceremony in front of Main Administration Block and March past from fresh contingent of Campus Peace Corps.

Main function of the day would be held at the Convocation Hall University of Peshawar where students from University Model School, University Public School, and University College for Boys, College of Home Economics and Jinnah College for women would present national songs, tableaus to go with a speech and painting competition highlighting importance of independence and beauty of the mother land.

A book Exhibition has been arranged on the day by the Department of Pakistan Studies. University of Peshawar Baragali summer Campus-II would hold similar functions arranged by the Provost Office and Students Societies. 

The highlight would be picture exhibition and a debate competition.
