Private schools urged to help promote quality education

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Muhammad Atif Khan Monday urged private educational institutions to coordinate with provincial government for promotion of quality education.

Speaking a prize distribution ceremony at a private school in Nowshera, he said that the PTI-led provincial government has attached priority to quality education and taking measures to improve performance of government institutions.

He said that trainings are being arranged for teachers to improve way of teaching, adding that 23,000 teachers would be trained in current month.

He said the provincial government has planned comprehensive strategy to enroll maximum students in government schools, adding that so far 300,000 children have been enrolled at various schools of the province.

The provincial government is also taking measures to improve infrastructure of government schools’ buildings so that the students may get best education environment.

Later, he distributed laptops, certificates and prizes among position holder students of the province for the year 2012-13.
