Department of Computer Science of University of Peshawar in collaboration with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board arranged software competition among students of varsities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The students competed in three difference categories i.e. web development, poster designing and speed programming in the event. Around 80 students from 11 universities of KPK participated in the competition. In the web development category FAST University got first position while University of Peshawar stood as the runner-up team. Poster designing was won by Agricultural University Peshawar and Sarhad University Peshawar took second position.
The speed programming competition was clinched by FAST University while University of Peshawar got second slot. The winner teams were awarded cash money of Rs 10,000 and the runners up got Rs 5,000. Zafar Iqbal, Secretary Science & Technology and IT was the chief guest of the event. He along with Vice Chancellor UoP Prof Dr Rasul Jan, MD IT Siddiqullah and Chairman Department of Computer Science Dr Saeed Mehfooz distributed prizes and certificates among the achiever students.
