Students walk to mark Anti-corruption week

Agriculture University in collaboration with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) organized a seminar to observe Anti-Corruption Week, which was followed by a walk against corruption in the university on Friday.

Vice Chancellor Agriculture University Professor Khan Bahadar Marwat was the chief guest. Director NAB Col (R) Waheedullah Khan and Director Islamic Studies Professor Maraj-ul-Islam also spoke on the occasion.

The Speakers advised the students to recite the Holy Quran and Hadith regularly besides vast reading, which he opined, was necessary for their character building.

Director NAB said that 20 universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had already established character building societies, adding, that the same would be extended to college, school and grass-root level under NAB awareness and prevention regime.

The speakers also urged the students to adopt high moral values like truthfulness, forgiveness, honesty and sympathy and give up evil habits of fraud, cruelty and revenge.

The function was followed by a walk in the premises of the university. The students held banners and placards inscribed with Anti-Corruption slogans and fighting corruption through character building.
