The Islamia College University arranged a formal gathering of both senior and junior teachers at its Khyber Union Hall on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Qibla Ayaz called upon the young teachers of the university to focus on research and innovation in accordance with the needs of globalization. Registrar Sareer Badshah, deans and chairpersons of the teaching faculties and officers from Planning and Development also attended the event. The VC said the ICU had the motto of old tradition with new horizons.“Now the global needs and internationalisation of education process demands that the young teachers should specifically play an active role in research-related activities,” he added.
