Thugs robbing students for admission in govt colleges

Number of fraud operatives deceiving students for giving them FA and FSc admissions in the government colleges in exchange of 20,000 to 60,000 rupees, The Frontier Post has learnt.

Some of these groups are solely fake as after receiving money they disappear from the scene while some of them are from the powerful students’ wings that are not fake but assure students their admissions either through selling the reserved seats of students’ political wings or using personal contacts inside the college for enrolling students in the colleges.

It is worth mentioning that students’ wings of political parties reserve ten to fifteen seats in a college through the direct recommendations of party’s MPAs and MNAs. Comme­nting on the matter Principal of Government College Peshawar Dr. Alam Zeb admitted that some groups were receiving money from the students for giving them admissions in the college as he received several such complaints from the students were prey of the fraud.

While taking about the preparation of merit list he said that admissions would solely be on merit basis and the administration would never consider students were not meeting criteria irrespective of the fact that whom they were recommended from.
