University of Peshawar has reached agreements with twelve Universities and research institutes of South Korea for mutual educational and cultural exchange programs. The Memorandum was signed in this regard were signed between the presidents/ rectors of these institutes and Vice Chancellors University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz during his recent visit to Korea.
Under the agreements Korean institutes and University of Peshawar would collaborate with each other in carrying out joint research activities and take benefit from resources available with both sides. The two would also exchange faculty and students for their training and development.
The Korean institutes have also recognized University of Peshawar as a potential partner for collaboration in mega international projects of mutual interests, reads the MoUs.
The Korea Pakistan centre KOPAK established lately at the Institute of Management Studies would also be made more operational under the agreements.
The Memorandum of Understanding were signed between Korea University of International Studies, Hannam University, Pyeongtaek University, Sookmyung Women`s University, Institute of Industrial Technology Korea, Incheon University, Incheon techno park, Juwon Industry, Hanbat National University, Kyung Hee University, Hondong Global University and Pohang SM Hospital Seoul Korea.
The mutual collaboration between University of Peshawar and Korean institutes would open new research corridors to our students and faculty, said Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz on his return. He added this would lead to increasing Pakistani student’s enrollment in the Korean Universities and strengthen bilateral friendship among the two countries.
